The goal of this panel is to provide some direction, inspiration, and encouragement for our students who may be anxious and uncertain about how they’ll transition their identity, lifestyle, and purpose to post-college and post-athletics life.
Reggie Stephens-A former NFL player for the New York Giants and Super Bowl XXXV veteran, Reggie has successfully navigated the shift from professional athletics to community leadership and the arts. He is the founder of the Reggie Stephens Foundation, which empowers youth through sports and mentorship, and is also an accomplished music producer and Grammy voting member.
Lexie Tapke-Lexie is the Assistant Director for Learning Support Services at UC Santa Cruz. Her career in student support began in Athletics and Recreation, where she saw how community spaces foster belonging. She now specializes in developing student peer educators, helping them build professional confidence and a sense of identity.
Bex Wyant-A former collegiate swimmer for the University of the Pacific and lifelong athlete, Bex is a Santa Cruz-based professional photographer and creative director specializing in capturing the stories of elite and Olympic athletes. Having navigated a diverse 15-year career across the arts and branding, she is passionate about helping others embrace their own multi-faceted “creative journey” after sports.
